Gary Lyons is a Professor of Anatomy at the UW-Madison School of Medicine & Public Health. (Please note that the Anatomy Dept. is undergoing realignment and will have a new name in 2011.).

The Lyons Lab is very active in training undergraduates and medical students in biomedical research methods.

 

Dr. Lyons is a strong advocate of learner-centered teaching. He has received several teaching awards and is a member of the UW-Madison Teaching Academy . Included below are a number of links to teaching and learning resources.

As part of the UW Outreach to the community, two of Dr. Lyons’ talks on cardiac stem cells can be seen on the University Place feature of the Wisconsin Public Television digital channel.

Gene trap cell lines

This is a list of mouse embryonic stem cell clones that have been partially characterized, mainly by sequencing of 5’ RACE cDNAs. These clones are available to PIs who are interested.
